MULTi-GENERATIONALHOME
This project explores the design of a generational home created for two grandparents, two parents, and two children. While my partner focused on the grandparents’ floor, I was responsible for the design of the level dedicated to the parents and children. The aim was to create a holistic and functional living environment that accommodates the needs of multiple generations while still reflecting a contemporary and inviting aesthetic.

Kitchen
The kitchen is designed for flow, sensory materiality, and accessibility—tailored to a modern, food-loving family. The HTH cabinetry in the Nordic Creation style blends Nordic minimalism with Japandi inspiration, creating a harmonious expression.
The melamine carcass and oak veneer fronts provide durability and warmth. Black details and tall cabinets add depth, while push-activated fronts ensure a seamless, minimalist look. Appliances are integrated into the tall units, and the oven is placed at working height, following universal design principles.
A spacious kitchen island with cooktop and integrated extractor ensures good workflow and open surfaces. Above the island, brass pendants provide warm light and tactile richness. A terrazzo-composite countertop with matching floor tiles adds durability and cohesion.
The color palette is calm and earthy, with green walls and a dining nook in red-orange velour for a cozy contrast. A Fenix laminate table contributes modern functionality and a tactile surface.
The kitchen combines aesthetics, ergonomics, and sustainability—creating a social, functional, and inclusive space for the entire family.

Dining room
The dining room is designed with a focus on functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability. The table seats ten people and is adapted for wheelchair users, promoting inclusive design.
A muted red wool rug beneath the table adds warmth and contrast to the room’s green tones, while wool provides durability and sustainability as a natural material. The walls are covered in straw wallpaper with a checkered pattern, adding texture, rhythm, and a cozy atmosphere.
Green linen curtains bring elegance and privacy options, with linen as an eco-friendly textile. The glass dining table with black oak legs creates a modern expression, combining recyclable glass with sustainable wood. The black accents are repeated in a practical HTH sideboard in melamine.
A blue wall-mounted pendant above the table introduces a playful contrast and provides ambient lighting. Small details, such as a dog bowl, emphasize the home’s warmth and family-friendly character—a space for both people and pets.

Entrance
The entrance is designed to create a strong first impression while meeting the family’s need for storage. A striking red spiral staircase defines the space, adding character and visual identity.
Along one wall, spacious HTH wardrobes in durable laminate provide storage for coats and shoes, while an oak sideboard and full-length mirror add warmth and practicality. Textured Élitis wallpaper brings depth, balancing aesthetics and function for a welcoming transition between outdoors and indoors.

Hallway
The hallway is designed with a focus on materiality, details, and atmosphere, creating a distinct hotel-like feel. The walls are clad in walnut veneer, adding warmth, depth, and exclusivity, while curved corners soften the space and lend it a more architectural expression.
Brass wall lamps provide pleasant, ambient lighting that highlights the natural texture of the wood. A console table serves both decorative and practical purposes.
The floor is covered with carpet from Ege, made of regenerated polyamide—a sustainable choice. Its low loops make it suitable for wheelchair use. Altogether, the hallway conveys a luxurious and carefully curated atmosphere in a space that is often overlooked.

Master bedroom
The master bedroom is designed with a focus on calm, comfort, and exclusivity. A dark palette of blue and brown creates a warm atmosphere that promotes rest. The walls are clad in grasscloth wallpaper, while a padded paisley-patterned curtain behind the headboard adds depth and rhythm. Matching window drapes provide a cohesive expression.
A blue wool rug beneath the bed adds contrast, softness, and improved acoustics. The wardrobe, with sliding doors in dark oak, offers generous storage without taking up unnecessary space. Dark bedside tables with marble tops bring elegance and material variation, tying the room to the rest of the interior.
A comfortable armchair in the corner creates a quiet spot for reading or dressing. The room combines tactility, texture, and richness of color—designed as a space for rest and well-being.

Guest room
This bedroom is designed with warm colors, tactile materials, and functional solutions to maximize space. The green walls create a calm, inviting backdrop, while touches of pink in the curtains, headboard, and rug add softness. Natural textiles, like wool curtains and a checkered wool rug, enhance the room’s sensory quality.
Lighting contributes to the room’s character: a sculptural floor lamp inspired by horns provides soft ambient light, and a brass shell-shaped bedside lamp adds texture and metallic sheen. Integrated drawers in the bed offer practical storage without taking up floor space.
The result is a functional, cohesive bedroom that balances warmth, material richness, and efficient use of space.
Boys room
This room is designed for a three-year-old, balancing a playful atmosphere with durable, practical solutions that grow with the child. The yellow checkered wallpaper adds brightness and cheer without feeling overly childish, making it timeless as interests change.
Instead of wall-to-wall carpet, the room has easy-to-clean hard flooring, softened by a playful rug with a car track motif in the play corner. Storage is tailored to the child’s needs, with open oak shelves, drawers, and a wardrobe with a clean push-to-open design.
A matching oak desk under the window offers space for drawing, play, and later schoolwork. The 90 cm bed, with a soft cotton-upholstered frame, provides comfort, warmth, and room to grow.

Girls room
This room is designed for a growing girl, with timeless colors and forms that will work for years to come. The atmosphere is calm and harmonious, combined with practical solutions and refined materials.
A large oak and melamine wardrobe with push-to-open doors provides generous storage, while the 140x200 cm bed allows for guests and includes drawers underneath. Its soft pink velvet headboard adds warmth and color. A yellow wall-mounted nightstand brings freshness and makes cleaning easier, paired with a sleek lamp that matches the apartment’s style.
Blue Élitis wallpaper gives the room an elegant, timeless character. A cozy sofa corner offers space for friends, while an oak desk beneath the window doubles for schoolwork and makeup, paired with an ergonomic steel-and-leather chair. Wall-to-wall carpet in recycled polyamide adds softness and comfort.

Laundry room
The laundry room balances functionality and aesthetics, designed to support the daily logistics of a large family. Neutral terrazzo tiles create rhythm and connect with the adjoining kitchen, while blue-painted walls and darker cabinets add freshness and contrast. Durable Nordic Spirit fronts from HTH with oak edges bring warmth and texture.
A tall cabinet provides storage for ironing boards and cleaning supplies, and the under-counter space holds both washer and dryer. The cement-look compact laminate countertop is robust and moisture-resistant, offering generous folding space. A wall-mounted drying rack reduces reliance on the dryer, combining practicality with sustainability.
Durable materials and thoughtful details make the laundry room both highly functional and seamlessly integrated into the home’s overall design.
